Dr. Richard K. Harrison, PhD Chief Scientific Officer Clarivate Analytics

Dr. Richard K. Harrison is the Chief Scientific Officer at Clarivate Analytics. He has over 30 years of experience in the life sciences industry. His career has focused on all aspects of pre-clinical drug discovery. During this time he has held positions of increasing responsibility at Aventis, Merck, DuPont and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals where he delivered numerous clinical candidates and worked on several marketed drugs. In addition, he served as a founding scientist in two successful venture funded computational and structure based drug design companies. Dr. Harrison has authored over 40 peer reviewed publications and book chapters in all areas of drug discovery and has presented over 50 invited lectures on these subjects. He earned his Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry and Enzymology and currently serves as an adjunct professor at several universities.

Annette Bakker, PhD President The Children’s Tumor Foundation

Annette Bakker, PhD, currently leads a staff of 45 people as the President of CTF. Together with a highly experienced executive team, she is responsible for the strategic, programmatic, and financial operations of the Foundation to ensure that the mission and core values are put into practice, and that a success-oriented and accountable environment exists throughout the Foundation.

Salvatore La Rosa, PhD Vice President of Research and Development The Children’s Tumor Foundation

Salvatore La Rosa, PhD, is the Vice President of Research and Development at CTF and is responsible for the implementation of the Foundation’s business strategy into its research initiatives. He manages the Foundation’s research activities, providing a scientific and knowledgeable review of discovery, preclinical, and early development programs in the field of Neurofibromatosis (NF).

Vidya Dhote, PhD Basic Science Manager The Children’s Tumor Foundation

Vidya Dhote, PhD, is the Basic Science Manager at the Children's Tumor Foundation. Vidya primarily oversees the basic science activities and manages the NF1 Low-Grade Glioma initiatives, which are a part of the Foundation's unique Synodos program. She is also in charge of the newly initiated Synodos for Schwannomatosis program.

Marco Nievo, PhD Intellectual Property Consultant The Children’s Tumor Foundation

Marco Nievo, PhD, is the Consultant for the Children’s Tumor Foundation, mainly in the field of Intellectual Property. His main duties include contract drafting and negotiations, running the Industry-Academia liaison activities of the Foundation, and assisting in the development of partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, as well as project management and compound scouting activities.
